Holiday Hoedown–Weigh-in Week 2

Well, I hopped on the scale with major dread and expecting the worst. It wasn’t AS bad as I thought it was going to be which was nice. I gained 2.2 pounds, but I’m still down 0.2 for the challenge so I choose to take a positive spin on it.

We went out of town for the weekend so while I had a nice idea of how I was going to control my diet while I was gone, I realized how hard it was to keep track of calories with limited computer time. Exercise also did not go as planned. I had every intention of using the hotel’s workout room but it was hard to find the time when running on late nights and early mornings.

So I start Week 3 with 64oz of water down and well within my calorie allowance and I intend to kick this week off with a much better start. I’ve got my shoes on and am ready to hit the treadmill as soon as I can wrestle snuggle my oldest into bed. Week 3 of C25k here I come.

To keep myself on track this month, I will:

1) Track EVERY calorie if it kills me. This helps me to reduce snacking during the day and sampling when cooking.

2) Water, water, water. I can’t feel hungry if my belly is full of water right? lol I will be drinking 1/2 my weight in water to help keep me feeling full and give me energy for the day.

3)Keep junk food out of my house. If it’s in the house I’ll try to sneak it into my diet and while I do try to log it, it’s still not good for my diet.

I know those 3 items will keep December a much better month. I do have  a birthday cake to make but I plan to send leftovers with the hubby to work OR find a healthy, low cal way to make one. hehe
